Traditional fishing season starts at northeast China's Chagan Lake

Tourists attend a ceremony to mark the beginning of the traditional fishing season at Chagan Lake in northeast China's Jilin province, on December 28, 2017. The first fish of the season, which represent good luck, was sold at auction for a record 918,888 yuan (around 141,033 USD). The traditional fishing season at Chagan Lake starts in December and dates back to China's Liao Dynasty (916-1125 AD).
