Domestic heavy equipment ushers in high-tech 2018 for China

The Tiankun, China's first homegrown heavy cutter-section dredger, is launched in Qidong, Jiangsu Province on November 3, 2017. As Asia's largest and most advanced cutter-section dredger, the 140-meter-long ship is able to dredge 6,000 cubic meters per hour. Equipped with an advanced positioning system, the Tiankun is capable of operating at rough sea conditions and can navigate at any sea waters around the globe. [Photo: VCG]
