Jiuzhai Valley reopens to visitors following last year's earthquake

​The first group of tourists has visited the Jiuzhai Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site after it was closed on August 8, 2017 following a magnitude 7 earthquake. The scenic spot in China's Sichuan Province reopened on March 8, 2018 after a seven-month long restoration. Jiuzhai Valley in Jiuzhaigou National Park is located in the mountains on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
