Nanjing's first unmanned smart restaurant opens for a trial run

Trials have started for the first unmanned smart restaurant in Nanjing, seen here on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. The restaurant is equipped with 24 self-service food cabinets. Customers order their meal using an app on their phone. After the meal has been prepared and put into the cabinet, the restaurant sends a message to the customer that their meal is ready for collection. [Photo:VCG]
