Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the inauguration ceremony of a 182-meter statue on Wednesday, October 31, which is being built on a coast near Bombay, India, commemorating Indian independence leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The project of building the world's tallest statue started in 2013, taking about five years to complete, and it cost 30 billion rupee (about 400 million dollar). Most of the main parts of the statue were produced by a metal crafting company in Southwest China. Other smelting works and modules were also done by that company. [Photo: VCG]
