An employee of the Israel Antiquities Authority works at the site of a 9,000-year-old settlement that was discovered in Motza, Israel, July 16, 2019. This is the first time that such a large-scale settlement from the Neolithic Period has been discovered in Israel, and one of the largest of its kind in the region. Archaeologists estimate 2,000 to 3,000 people lived there. [Photo: IC]
