Chef Yan Deshuang poses with his wok and ladle in Xiaogang Village, Fengyang County, Anhui Province. Many locals who used to migrate to find work outside Xiaogang are coming back to start up their own business in their hometown village. Known as the birthplace of China's rural reforms, Xiaogang Village is where China's policy of Reform and Opening Up first started in 1978.
