A river's stunning transformation in Hainan

This is what can be done in just two years. The government of Haikou in Hainan Province solved the pollution problem on the Meishe River. More than 24,000 trees were planted along the river and a wetland park was created to help the river restore its own ecological functions. Now, the pedestrian trail along the river has become a popular site for people to enjoy their leisure time.
