Dancer-choreographer Wang Yabin to unveil new dance drama

Chinese dancer-choreographer Wang Yabin is set to debut a new dance drama called "An Individual Soliloquy" in mid-September, along with artists from the U.K., France and Japan.

Wang has provided a few details about the drama.

"What I felt wonderful about it is the involvement of international artists into the process of designing a Chinese dance drama, which is a pure Chinese story. I hope my team could produce the best Chinese dance drama that we may take onto the international stage. Meanwhile, we are expected to introduce Chinese audiences the best international artists."

"An Individual Soliloquy" tells a story that took place along the ancient Silk Road.

Wang Yabin is a well-known figure in contemporary Chinese dance.

She is best known for her annual dance performance titled "Yabin and Her Friends."
