Located at an altitude of 4,300 meters in Quzhuomu Township of Lhoka, Tibet, a 200-hectare sea buckthorn forest is thriving. Research shows that the average age of a tree here is 1,000 years old, with the oldest tree more than 2,000 years old.

The township is planning to develop tourism by combining the sea buckthorn forest with tours of nearby hot springs. Villagers from impoverished families will work as tour guides to earn some extra money.
