Sydney kicks off a month of Lunar New Year celebrations

The largest celebrations outside of Asia for the Lunar New Year kicked off in Sydney on Friday, February 1, 2019. The program of festivities was unveiled at an event at the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and the bridge's arches lit up a glowing "Chinese red". Lunar New Year events will run throughout the month, and will include more than 80 activities such as a lantern show, lion dances, and a Dragon boat race.
