American musicians to perform at Meet in Beijing Arts Festival
Philadelphia All State Wind Ensemble and the Black Velvet String Quartet is to perform at the 18th 'Meet in Beijing' arts festival, which will kick off at the end of April, with 130 performances by over 800 artists from around the world.
The 'Meet in Beijing' Arts Festival is a platform where Chinese and overseas artists are able to showcase their distinctive cultures.
This year's 'Meet' will focus on cultural exchanges among the Belt and Road countries. Italy is the featured country, which will not only showcase its art, but its food as well. There will be a 2-week long Italian food festival, with a Michelin chef's design.
One of the highlights of the festival will be a piano battle between robotic pianist Teo Tronico and his inventor Roberto Prosseda.
Theatrical peformances from the UK, France and China will be featured as well.
