China remains largest source of international students in the U.S.
For the 10th year in a row, China has been the largest source of international students for the United States, according to this year's Open Doors report released by the Institute of International Education and the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

The latest edition of the annual report, which was released on Monday, says that 369,548 students from China were studying at universities in the United States during the 2018-19 academic year, a 1.7 percent increase from the previous year.
India, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Canada rounded out the top five countries sending the most students to study in the United States. In 2018, international students contributed 44.7 billion U.S. dollars to the American economy, an increase of 5.5 percent from 2017.
