Mobile app using China's navigation system to be available

A new mobile app for navigation using China's BeiDou Satellite Navigation system is set to become available this month. With an accuracy within 1 to 2 meters, creators of the app says BeiDou is expected to overtake the US-military run GPS (Global Positioning System) in China in areas including smart city development, self-driving automobiles and smart delivery.

BeiDou is one of four satellite navigation systems currently in operation in the world, including GPS, as well as a Russian and pan-European system.
