Whales appear in China's Bohai Sea

A school of whales were seen swimming in the waters off Penglai City and Changdao County in east China's Shandong Province recently.

The appearance of whales in the waters was recorded by the ancients in old times. Nowadays, it's very rare to see whales in the waters. Local fishermen say that the recent appearance is relevant to the rapid increase of the fish stock in the Bohai Sea, after the implementation of new fishing rules.
