Bar donates patron stapled dollars to Hurricane Dorian relief

The staff at Siesta Key Oyster Bar in Florida recently donated more than ten thousand dollars to Hurricane Dorian relief in the Bahamas. The money came from dollar bills patrons stapled on the restaurant walls over the years.

CNN reported that it took the staff the whole September to finally take down, flattern and clean all the bills. The local bank excluded some damaged bills and counted the sum to $13,961.

One of the owners of Siesta Key Oyster Bar told CNN that they gain a whole new level of respect of what they do as they lend a helping hand to those in need.
