In the video uploaded by Uhas, he explains the science behind the experiment known as the "elephant toothpaste" test. It involves mixing hydrogen peroxide, soap, and food dye with potassium iodide.
Uhas says in the video that the iodide strips the oxygen from the hydrogen peroxide, creating oxygen gas. "This gas then gets caught in the soap mixture and creates a ton of foam very fast if you use the right catalyst," he said.
Uhas reassured viewers that their foam volcano is environmentally friendly and non-toxic.
