World's oldest couple to celebrate 80 years of marriage

The world's oldest living couple is celebrating their Oak Anniversary in December.

John Henderson, 106, and Charlotte Henderson, 105, have been married 80 years and are recognized by the Guinness World Records as the oldest married couple with an aggregate age of 211 years.

A CNN report says they met in class at the University of Texas in 1934. They married in 1939 and spent 7 U.S. dollars on their honeymoon.

The Hendersons are currently living in Longhorn Village, a senior living community associated with a University of Texas alumni group, according to CNN.

John says the secret to a long and happy marriage is to "live life in moderation and be cordial to your spouse."
