Beijing Foreign Language Festival 2017 to open at Chaoyang Park

The Beijing Foreign Language Festival 2017 is set to open at Chaoyang Park on October 28, 2017, with this year’s theme: “Learn foreign languages, promote exchanges, prepare for the Winter Olympic Games.”

Six activity zones will be set up and 20 activities will be held at the festival, including "Support the Paralympics," "Bilingual Show on Traditional Beijing Culture" and "Foreign Language Fun and Games," to help participants learn more about foreign languages, cultures and be better prepared for the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Three main ideas will be highlighted through various activities: spreading knowledge on the 2022 Winter Olympics, experiencing English language learning and communicating, and showcasing traditional Chinese culture.

Jointly sponsored by the organizing committee of "Beijing Speaks Foreign Languages Program" and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the festival is the only large scale activity based on learning and communicating in foreign languages.  

A total of 10,000 tickets are given away from October 9, 2017. More information is available on the website www.bjenglish.com.cn.
