New high-speed train debuts on Beijing to Lanzhou route

The Beijing to Lanzhou high-speed train began operations on July 9^th, which marks first ever domestic railway network in the the northwest region in China. Lanzhou is the capital city and also the largest city of Gansu province, which is a key regional transportation hub connecting the far west regions and the eastern regions of China.

The new high-speed train will help passengers travelling between Beijing to Lanzhou reach their destination in about 9 hours, shortening the trip by approximately 7 hours.

The Beijing-Lanzhou line will leave its port of origin in the morning and reach its destination in the evening. A model G429 leaves Beijing West Railway Station at 10:50, and is planned to arrive at Lan Zhouxi Railway Station at 20:00. A model G430 departs from Lanzhou at 9:53am, and is scheduled to arrive at Beijing West Railway Station at 18:53.

First class tickets are priced at 1056.5 yuan, and second class tickets and business class tickets are priced at 690 yuan and 2153.5 yuan respectively.
