Changchun, dynamic capital of Jilin is brimming with values of welcoming everyone with open arms manifesting peace, harmony and innovation. Soon after I set my foot on the sparkling land, bright sunny weather with light breeze spelled joyful magic on me.
No matter who I came across made me realize that I was at home. So visiting Changchun I did not suffer homesickness. Plentiful smiley faces and hospitable gesture made my day.
Before it was planned to tour some areas, the word FAW struck to my ear and it sounded very familiar to me. I kept listening about FAW and I had to share my feeling that name of FAW is well-known in my homeland, Pakistan. People of Pakistan have an intimacy with FAW as many cars of this company have been cruising on roads of Pakistan.
Being among the delegation I remained stunned hearing the impressive automobile history and its bursting growth in China. One of best things I got to know was also an enthralling building of a gallery that housed a numerous pieces of pictures which exhibited how China made its mark in four-wheeler early manufacturing and till modern day productions.
As I found interest in automobile history, I listened speech of presenter that first Chinese production vehicles came into being by the First Automobile Works in 1956, a truck called the Jiefang CA-30. On March 10, 1958 more improved light duty truck was produced (NJ130), he said.

Headquartered in Changchun, Jilin, FAW called as FAW Jiefang is among leading truck manufacturing companies in China wholly owned subsidiary of FAW Group. The disclosure of presenter that FAW Jiefang established in 2003 has an annual production capacity of around 200,000 vehicles took me by storm.
Another point that was very informative for me was that FAW jiefang is the company that produce car ''Hongqi'' used by all presidents of China. Hongqi is a national pride so Chinese top brass use to have it to welcome all their counterparts visiting China regularly.
During a visit of FAW Jiefang manufacturing plant, I got a chance to witness first time multiple processes and procedures of trucks used for commercial and military purposes. I found entire staff working diligently showing their technical expertness and professional capabilities. Premises were well-cleaned in all respect. Environment looked conducive. Continual loud noise due to operation of production had been signifying the fact that work was at full swing. One of the delegates sat on driving seat of truck and enjoyed the mock ride.

FAW's current production strategies put a heavier emphasis on the production of cars while maintaining dominant position in the commercial truck industry. FAW products include, Light Duty Truck, Medium Duty Trucks, Heavy Duty Trucks, Passenger Cars, SUVs & MPVs, Municipal Buses, Luxury Tourist Coaches, Custom Bus Chassis and Mini Vehicles.
Presenters even other staff members remained nice to all delegates. They tried to provide us all information what we had been seeking. I believe that China automobile industry has been raising bars for other with its resourceful technical team and doing everything on modern day lines.
