President Xi Jinping attended the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the inaugural ceremony of the fifth-term government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on July 1st.
On June 29, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, also President of the PRC and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, arrived in Hong Kong and delivered a glowing speech at the airport.
This is a grand occasion in the history of development of HKSAR with great significance and comes highly anticipated.
"One country, two systems" in Hong Kong has proven successful over the past 20 years and needs to be continued in the interest of the region's 7 million people.
It is anticipated that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Hong Kong for the first time since becoming president in 2013 to join Hong Kong’s 20th handover anniversary.
