Golden Rooster statue unveiled at China film festival

The 28th China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday in Xiamen, with the unveiling of a golden rooster statue.
The statue stands at 6.9 meters high and weighs more than two tons.
Wu Weishan is the creator of the sculpture."When it rotates, the reflection of the sunlight is emitted in different colors, symbolizing the colorful creations and constant innovations in our film industry."
Various Chinese directors and actors including Chen Daoming, Zhang Yimou and Jackie Chan attended the unveiling ceremony.
The China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, launched in 1992, is the largest film festival on the Chinese mainland.
