More than 90 percent of the teenagers treated for Internet addiction at one Beijing clinic "lack fatherly love" in their life.

Psychological expert explained that having an absentee father during their teenage years can make these youths become more rebellious and socially awkward, which can lead them to seek solace in a virtual world.

How come internet addiction is associated with the absence of a father? And How important is parent's role in treatment of internet addiction?
