To most people having a wild adventure means going on an African safari, participating in survivalist-type of a television reality show or simply, travelling solo in a completely dissimilar culture or society, hopefully where nobody speaks your language and you don't speak theirs.

But for adventurous Katarina Rankovic, that adventure spirit also includes going to China, giving up on some modern luxuries and immersing herself deeper into the local culture.

She recently lived with a host family in Beijing. During her stay, this Serbian national adopted a self-imposed, no-technology rule; traversing the country with absolutely no phone and no internet access. In this episode of the programme therefore, she tells the rest of her story to Nillah Nyakoa.
