China happy to see MSCI index inclusion of A-shares: CSRC

Chinese securities regulators are suggesting any move, one way or the other, by MSCI to add the Shanghai Stock Exchange to its Emerging Markets Index will not affect overall market reform strategies.

The comments come amid an impending decision by MSCI whether or not to add Shanghai to its New York-based board.

MSCI has been avoiding adding Chinese A-share listings to its Emerging Markets Index for the past 4-years, despite the growth in the mainland's main market.
