The Tattoo is actually a series of 'Tattoos' (a word which roughly means 'display') in the spectacular setting of Edinburgh Castle.
It's popular with tourists from all around the world, and takes place every weekday evening and twice on Saturdays throughout the month of August.
Due to its historic setting, only a limited number of tickets are released for sale every year.
Thanks to the new deal between the organisers of the Tattoo and WeChat Pay, Chinese fans will now have access to the live booking system for the first time.
What's more, the 2018 display is set to feature a record number of Chinese performers as part of the tie-up.
There is even an ambition to host the Tattoo in China by 2020, such is the strength of the partnership and the enthusiasm of Chinese fans for the event.
Interestingly, the agreement is believed to be the first example of a deal between WeChat Pay and a Scottish tourism business.
It’s expected that similar agreements between other Scottish businesses that are popular with Chinese guests - such as golf courses, distilleries, and hotels - could be set to follow.
