The e-suite office comes around one month after the company set up an artificial intelligence lab in Beijing. It also marks Google's third office in China, following offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
"We have many important clients and partners in Shenzhen. We are setting up this e-suite office to be able to communicate and work with them better," a Google spokesperson said in an e-mail.
It has been reported that Google's Shenzhen office will employ around 300 people and will focus on its hardware business.
The office began operations earlier this week.
Shenzhen is dubbed "Asia's Silicon Valley" as it is well known as a global hardware center.
It is home to Chinese internet giant Tencent and smartphone manufacturers Huawei and ZTE.
