Alibaba has announced it intends to boslter its on-demand delivery platforms for its Singles Day Shopping promotion this year.

The company also intends to unveil a rewards program for online shoppers that use Alibaba's other business affiliates, such as mapping, video and music streaming.

Tmall General Manager Liu Bo says: "A main reason why we pay much attention on off-line shopping this year is that we want consumers to know that Singles Day is not just about buying from smart phone or computer. As more sub-brands are involved in the shopping festival, more consumers will participate.

"We are anticipating a strongest off-line shopping season as the previous promotion activities will be switched to coupon gathering and all means of shopping," Liu adds.

Alibaba also says it intends to try to offer more imported goods.

Tmall currently carries around 37-hundred imported products from 74 countries and regions.
