China sees consumption grow in Spring Festival holiday

Chinese people did a lot of spending over the Spring Festival holiday.

The total earnings of retail and catering companies in China reached 1 trillion yuan during the holiday, a year-on-year increase of 8.5 percent.

Shops, restaurants and scenic spots across China reported robust sales during the holiday.

The consumption of traditional food and local specialties also saw rapid growth.
