The civil aviation sector also registered over 70 million hours of safe flights, a leading track record in the world.
Authorities say they will continue to improve services such as airport on-time performance, availability of paperless flight services and in-flight WiFi as well as complaint handling.
China is now the world's second-largest civil aviation market.
The country handled more than 600 million air passenger trips last year.
The figure is expected to reach 700 million this year.
It's estimated that China will become the world's largest civil aviation market at some point between 2024 and 2025.
