Huawei has released an official statement in response to new bans by two US-based standards bodies, the SD Association and Wi-Fi Alliance, arguing the company's products and services will not be affected by the moves.

In the statement, Huawei contends the industry organizations should not restrict, suspend or terminate a member which is in compliance with their rules.
Huawei argues the moves by the SD Association and Wi-Fi Alliance go against the principles of transparency, openness and fairness in promoting industry development.
The Chinese tech giant also notes in its statement that the company has been an active participant in the overall development of industry standards, with membership in over 400 industry organizations. Huawei says it submitted more than 5,000 industry standard proposals in 2018.
Multiple reports show the SD Association, which sets memory card standards, has removed Huawei from its member list.
The Wi-Fi Alliance, which certifies products that meet quality, performance, security and capability standards, has also temporarily restricted Huawei's participation in the group's activities, according to multiple media reports.
