The U.S. claims to be 'suffering losses' but 'gains hugely' from trade with China

The U.S. theory of "suffering losses" is untenable as the U.S. side has gained hugely from Sino-U.S. trade, according to a statement by China's Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday.

The statement came in response to the U.S. statement on China's white paper on China-U.S. economic and trade talks.

"The U.S. provoked trade frictions with China regardless of multilateral trade rules, which is a typical action of trade bullying," read the statement.
