This is the first time reporters for Changjiangyun, a convergence media mobile app under Hubei Media Group, have used the new gear to report on sessions of China's National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country's key annual political event.

The Changjiangyun platform enables simultaneous news gathering and publishing.

The reporters can shoot videos and broadcast live, as well as synchronize the stories with other appliances such as a mobile app.

Changjiangyun has also teamed up with other media platforms, such as the People's Daily, CCTV+ and Xinhua.
