Video: Over 10,000 shared bikes crowd park in one day

More than 10,000 shared bikes were reportedly brought inside the Shenzhen Bay Park in Guangdong Province on Monday, the second day of the three-day Qingming Festival holiday.

Many people ended up abandoning their bikes as the park became too congested. 

Staff members of the park were asked to maintain order but to no avail. 

The local government and its Urban Management Bureau had to organize an emergency meeting on the same day with representatives from five bike-sharing companies to solve the problem.

On Tuesday, all shared bikes were banned from the park.
