Chinese in America
◇Huang Li
Huang Li works as a high school Mandarin teacher in Chicago, and she has lived in the U.S. for nine years.
☆Highlights:
Huang says the U.S. has people and food from all over the world, which makes it very fascinating.
For Huang, the U.S. is a land of opportunities, but it's also a very competitive place to live. The American people are a bit self-centered and don't care too much about the rest of the world, because they think they are in the greatest country in the world. Huang also thinks that Americans respect human rights and animal rights, and many of them are generally very nice.
Huang hopes the Chinese economy could stay strong all the time and that China and the U.S. maintain a good, interdependent relationship, as that would encourage more American students to enroll in her Chinese program and be good for her career.
