China to import $8 trillion worth of goods in 5 years

Concluding his speech, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli announces that in the coming five years, China will import 8 trillion USD worth of goods while absorbing 600 billion USD of foreign investment. During the same period, China's outbound investment will reach 750 billion USD and the number of outbound tourists will reach 700 million.

China holds a positive attitude towards any other country sharing opportunities brought by the development of China, Zhang says. The initiative will be carried out following principles of wide consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits. 

Zhang calls on all participants of the forum to contribute more wisdom and strength to pushing forward the implementation of the initiative and the building of a community of shared future for all humankind.
