China's People's Liberation Army is training hard for the upcoming International Army Games 2017, scheduled to get underway towards the end of next month.
According to Russia's Defense Ministry, this year's games will take place between June 29 and August 12 in Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kazakhstan, and involve a total of 27 countries.
Teams take part in featured competitions in 23 disciplines such as a tank biathlon, distance marches and drone combat.
China's PLA has a good record in the games. Last year they took first place in one event, coming second in no less than 18 events, and achieving third place in two further events.
This is the third time that the military competition has been held.
