Malaysian PM expresses condolences on quake in China
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak expressed condolences to China Wednesday on the strong earthquake which hit southwest China's Sichuan Province Tuesday.
"Our condolences to the government and the people of China, especially those affected by the Sichuan earthquake," Najib said via his social media account.
The 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Jiuzhaigou county in Sichuan Province at 9:19 p.m. local time Tuesday at a depth of 20 kilometers, leaving at least 19 dead and 263 injured, including 40 in serious conditions, according to local authorities.
