The Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark arrived in the eastern waters of the Gulf of Aden on Wednesday to provide medical services and start a 6-day joint exercise with missile frigate Yangzhou.

The Peace Ark is part of Mission Harmony 2017, and the missile frigate Yangzhou is conducting naval escort missions as part of the 26th Chinese naval escort task force.

The hospital ship will hold a series of activities, including medical services, equipment maintenance, health lectures and psychological counseling to officers and soldiers serving on the missile frigate Yangzhou.
