China encourages domestic companies to go abroad, welcomes foreign investors: Xi

President Xi Jinping said Sunday that the Chinese government will continue to encourage Chinese companies to operate and take root in other countries.

Xi made the remarks while addressing the opening of the BRICS Business Forum in the southeastern city of Xiamen.

The Chinese government also warmly welcomes foreign companies to invest and operate in China, he said.
