Media center for 19th CPC national congress opens

The Press Center for the upcoming 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has officially opened for business.

Based in the Beijing Media Center Hotel, it's designed to handle the accreditation of journalists and correspondents from home and abroad.

It is also tasked with dealing with interview requests, organizing news conferences, arranging coverage for other activities related to the congress, and providing necessary information and technical services for reporters.

In addition, the official website of the Press Center http://19th.cpcnews.cn/ and its WeChat account "cpcnews19th" have also been brought into operation.

The 19th CPC National Congress is expected to start on Oct. 18 in Beijing, and will review the Party's work over the past five years, and set the tone for the years ahead.
