Suning, one of the leading retail corporations in China, cooperated with colleges in Shanghai to recruit 80 foreign students to serve as couriers.
Twin brothers from Zambia named Bai Tong and Wei Mo in Chinese, joined the delivery team. They have studied Shanghai dialects and New Year greetings, and took basic delivery training, before driving on the road.
The younger brother Wei Mo said he is happy to serve the local residents, and enjoys the traditional Chinese festival.
A person in charge of logistics at Suning said the company's cooperation with colleges aims to offer opportunities for students to have internships and experience local life during holidays. They do not assign minimum deliveries to the foreign couriers and the delivery destinations are generally not far from the distribution stations.
