AI to the romance rescue: one in three of us set to use smartphone tech to raise the romance level

-New research released today from Huawei, the global technology leader, shows that nearly one in three Brits (33%) believe that mobile technology and AI will help improve their relationships

-People across the UK are benefiting from intelligent smartphone technology to help their relationships from making sure the battery is charged, to logging important dates on their phone calendar, to using financial apps to keep track of spending

-Research also shows that Edinburgh couples row the least, with just five rows a week compared to Brighton couples who argue the most with eight rows a week

-Huawei have developed top tips to help Brits use smartphone technology for an even smoother path to successful romance

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, Huawei, the global technology leader, has been delving deep into the real state of relationships in the UK to discover how its technology can help reduce the most common relationship woes.  Nearly one in three Brits (30%) believe that advances in mobile technology and artificial intelligence will help to reduce domestic disagreements from the average number of six rows a week mostly caused by household chores (28%) and finances (26%.)

Specifically - in a bid to avoid future bust ups with partners, over half (55%) of British couples are turning to mobile technology, with 25% ensuring their phone is charged before going out so they are always contactable. What's more, 19% save important dates on their device so they don't forget to pick up a present for that all-important anniversary, whilst 14% use finance and budgeting apps to better manage their money.

Looking forward to a more feud free future, 12% of UK couples believe that rows related to forgetting important events such as birthdays and anniversaries (including Valentine's Day itself), will be reduced by intelligent mobile notifications and reminders. In addition, one in ten (10%) think using smart photography features to take partner-approved couple selfies will help reduce those moments when an unapproved picture on social media causes umbrage.
