Chinese Children and Parents in Stockholm celebrate Year of the Dog
Over 600 Chinese children and parents attended a grand celebration of the Chinese Spring Festival at Solna High School near Stockholm.

Xiao Yong, Chairman of the Swedish Chinese Mother Tongue Education Association, said this was the third year they had held such a celebration, and the number of attendees increased from over 200 people to 600 people. The purpose of the celebration was to let children feel the Chinese tradition and culture. By participating in the celebration and playing various programs, they can have a wonderful time and also learn a lot.

The programs included dances and singing, cross talk, and comic performances, as well as piano and violin recitals. The performances were hosted and performed by the students themselves.
The school was established three years ago and now has 230 students and teachers, making it the third largest Chinese school in the Stockholm region.
