Bo'ao Super Hospital set to open on March 31st

Bo'ao Super Hospital will open to the public at the end of this month.

The establishment of Hainan Bo'ao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone was initiated by the State Council, China's cabinet, on Feb 28, 2013. 

The Pilot Zone is the only place in China where patients can get medicine and medical equipment accredited by EU, Japan and US authorities before it has been officially accredited by the Chinese government. 

This translates into shortened wait-times for patients who need the new technologies.

According to Haiman Governor Shen Xiaomin, the Pilot Zone will be officially opened by the end of March.

One of its first services will involve the use of the 9-valent HPV vaccine. CPC Qionghai Secretary He Qiongmei has said that the vaccine will arrive soon. 

She also reminded the public that a reservation is needed if you want the vaccine.

"Other than certain health conditions, there are no other pre-requirements for taking the vaccine, so if you are interested, please contact the hospital and make your own reservation right away," said He. "We have already received tons of reservations."
