The "Progress of Asian Economic Integration Annual Report 2018," "Development of Emerging Economies Annual Report 2018," and the "BFA Asian Competitiveness Annual Report 2018" suggest the overall economic situation in Asia has been improving.

The analysis argues trade restrictions will stifle the sustainability of economic development.
