Activity of streaming down the Yangtze kicks off in Yunnan

A reporters team made up of major Chinese media outlets is now on a journey down the Yangtze River from Yunnan Province.

A team of Chinese journalists have started a trip along the Yangtze River from Yunnan Province, July 20, 2018. They are on a 6,500 kilometer trip down the river to Shanghai learn more about the ecological development along China's longest river. [Photo: cnr.cn]

Their destination is Shanghai, the mouth of the river.

Flowing nearly 64-hundred kilometers, the trip will take 30-days down the world's 3rd-longest river, taking the group from Yunnan, down through Guizhou, then up to Hunan, Hubei, Zhejiang and finally Shanghai.

Reporters, including our Yang Guang, are attempting to discover the development progress which has been made along the route as far as ecological development is concerned.
