A website has been launched for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to provide updates about the summit to the public ahead of its opening in September.

The website, which offers information in Chinese, English, and French, is targeted to delegates, journalists, and the business community, as well as members of the general public who would like to know more about the event.

"It will showcase the outcomes of China-Africa cooperation in various areas, and you are all welcome to try it," said Chen Xiaodong, China's assistant minister of foreign affairs. Chen also said that African officials have spent many months working with their Chinese counterparts to contribute valuable ideas and suggestions for the website.

Madagascar's Ambassador to China Victor Sikonina, who is also the head of the African delegation, said that the launch of the website was timely, as President Xi Jinping had just concluded a successful visit to Senegal, Rwanda, South Africa, and Mauritius.

A draft of the 2019-2021 action plan for the forum has been released, which states that China and Africa will continue to promote high-level exchanges to deepen their relationships, strengthen strategic coordination, and cement the political foundation of China-Africa ties.
