Special stamps issued for CIIE

China's Postal Service has issued two commemorative stamps to mark the country's inaugural China International Import Expo, reports thepaper.cn.

The two special stamps both have a face value of 1.2 yuan (0.18 U.S. dollars). One one features the venue of the CIIE, the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The other features a giant panda named "Jinbao," which is the mascot of the event.

Commemorative envelopes honoring the CIIE have also been issued, along with other items such as coins and souvenir sheet sets.

Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech to the opening of the world's first import-themed national-level expo in Shanghai, calling it a "trail-blazing" move in the history of international trade.

The expo is due to run from November 5 to 10.
